Lytham St Annes Hotels

When most people think of a Lancashire seaside holiday they think of Blackpool, but for those who like a quieter pace of life and who love golf then they travel just a little south of Blackpool to Lytham St Annes. As the name suggests this is actually a conurbation of two towns, St Annes on the Irish Sea coast, and Lytham, on the Ribble Estuary, but for all intents and purposes they form what is a single affluent area and very popular coastal resort. Lytham St Annes hotels are numerous, as might be expected of a seaside holiday destination, and they are typically of a very high standard.

Golf fans will of course know of the resort as the home of the Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club, regular host of the Open Championship, but this is just one of four courses in the area, all of which offer first class links play. When the Open is hosted here is is a busy place but it is not the only show in town, with annual festivals including Lytham Club Day and the St Annes Carnival also drawing the crowds. In addition there are many historic and cultural sights and attractions and a great many pubs, caf©s and restaurants which all add to that archetypal trip to the seaside experience.

Lytham St Annes hotels take on a variety of styles, shapes and sizes, ranging from the grand old dames of the seaside, where the halls and ballrooms are as likely to host a business conference today as a summer entertainment event, to the bed and breakfast accommodations where a warm welcome and a comfortable stay are as much a part of the seaside as fish and chips. In between there is everything else and all will provide easy access to the most popular attractions in the area.
